Washington Post Valentine’s Story Competition
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009The Washington Post runs a contest every year for the best 1500-word romantic short story based on the photograph shown on their site. Take a look and make sure you read the Editor’s Note for tips on what makes a winning entry. Read top submissions from the past.
The contest is free, and open to everyone. You might win $100 and get published in one of America’s top newspapers (online, too).
